Selection criteria
Integrated preparatory cycle: Math Physics Computer science
The integrated preparatory cycle is equivalent to a 3-year Bachelor in learning outcomes
The Bachelor is spread over 6 semesters, i.e. 1500 hours
The integrated preparatory cycle is spread over 4 semesters = 1800 hours
The difference in Bachelor and preparatory cycle: The Bachelor is recognized as (EQF ) Level6, but the preparatory cycle alone without the engineering cycle is recognized as (EQF) Level5.
The Integrated Mathematics-Physics-Computer Science (MPI) preparatory cycle which lasts 2 years during which only one repetition is allowed.
The objective of the two years of preparation integrated into the SUPTECH engineering cycle is mainly to acquire a solid base of knowledge, on which the engineering cycle will then be based.
The program for these two years includes well-developed courses in mathematics and physics, but it also stands out thanks to more concrete lessons in fundamental computer science and applied to different computer and multimedia contexts.
The Integrated Preparatory cycle allows students to continue their studies in the following fields: Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Networks, and Telecommunications Engineering.
Integrated Preparatory Cycle Learning Outcomes:
Graduates of the SUPTECH preparatory cycle will have the ability to:
- Apply algorithmic, mathematical, and scientific reasoning to a variety of computational problems.
- Analyze and compare alternative solutions to computer problems
- Implement software systems that meet specified design and performance requirements
- Analyze a computer problem and apply the principles of computer science and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.
- Design, implement and evaluate an IT solution to meet a given set of IT requirements within the context of the program discipline.
- Apply computing theory and software development fundamentals to produce computing solutions.
